Restoration of the Makariv Children’s School of Arts After War Damage
The Makariv Children’s School of Arts is a center of creative development for children, nurturing talented musicians, vocalists, and choreographers for many years. Unfortunately, as a result of military actions, the school building suffered significant destruction: shelling destroyed the roof, and subsequent rains damaged the walls and ceilings. Despite this, the educational process did not stop, and 250 students continue to study and master the arts.

The project is aimed at restoring the school building, improving its material and technical base, and creating comfortable conditions for learning. This will help preserve a unique cultural space, expand opportunities for children’s creative development, and support the community. The restoration of the school will contribute not only to education but also to the social rehabilitation of children in the affected region. Thanks to the joint efforts of the community, benefactors, and charitable organizations, we will be able to preserve and enrich the artistic heritage of the Makariv area.

The Makariv Children’s School of Arts reconstruction project became possible thanks to the active support of partners and organizations that joined forces to preserve art education for children. Each partner plays an important role in this process:
- Suomen Ukrainalainen Teatteri (Ukrainian Theatre in Finland) provided grant support, enabling the reconstruction of the school and the creation of comfortable conditions for children’s learning.
- The Magic Wings Charitable Foundation coordinates the project, attracts additional resources, and organizes cultural events aimed at supporting art education.
- The Makariv Settlement Council actively facilitates the implementation of the project at the local level, helping to restore the school and create conditions for its further functioning.
