Behind the Scenes of "Magical Arena": What Remains Off-Camera

We often share the final results with you: completed projects, meetings, impact stories, events, warm smiles, and moments worth celebrating. But behind every photograph lies so much that remains hidden: air-raid sirens, late-night phone calls, endless waits for responses, exhaustion, searches for resources, hundreds of messages, and quiet victories that might seem small to an outsider, but mean the world to us.

Today, we want to peel back the curtain and share this side of "Magic Wings"—the daily reality that usually stays behind the scenes.

Air-Raid Sirens: An Unplanned Alarm Clock

Today, we have the privilege of working remotely. We can schedule meetings, set up calls, map out our daily task lists, and work from wherever we happen to be. Yet so many plans have to be put on pause due to the "courtesy" of our neighbors.

An air-raid siren sounds—and a meeting gets rescheduled, a workflow freezes, an important phone call is pushed back. Someone heads down to a shelter, someone waits out the alarm, and eventually, everyone returns to where they left off. Sometimes, these disruptions happen multiple times a day.

We have learned to integrate this unpredictability into our daily routine. The foundation's work cannot stop, even when we are forced to pause.

The Long-Awaited Meetings

There are meetings you will never see in public photo galleries. Conversations held online that we wait weeks for, prepare for meticulously, and sometimes even adjust our sleep schedules around. Our dear friends and partners live in different corners of the globe, across drastically different time zones.

Behind "Magical Arena" and our other key projects lies an immense amount of communication: brainstorming ideas, navigating challenges, forming new connections, and establishing partnerships that eventually turn into real-world initiatives.

So, a 3:00 AM video call is far from fiction. When you share a unified goal and a deep desire to drive change, time zones become nothing more than numbers on a clock.

Navigating Burnout

Working at a charitable foundation means non-traditional, unpredictable hours—and, truth be told, we have grown accustomed to it. But that does not make us immune to fatigue.

There are moments when we lack hands, partners, or adequate resources. There are times when you pour in immense effort, invest days searching for solutions, and still hit a dead end, realizing you have to start the search all over again.

And then, a new message arrives. A new request comes in, a fresh idea takes shape, or a partner reaches out with a helping hand. And just like that, we gear up to explore new possibilities once again.

Because running a foundation is not about always having immediate answers. It is about never giving up the search for them, even when options seem entirely exhausted.

Small Victories

There are also quiet moments that never make it into formal impact reports, yet they are precisely what give us the strength to keep going. A partner finally replies with a "yes," a contact we searched weeks for is finally found, a critical need is met, or a project that stalled for months comes to life.

Sometimes, victory is as simple as a short message from a family we helped: "Thank you."

To an observer, it might seem minor. To us, it is a moment to smile, catch our breath, and say: "We did it."

Our broader mission is built on these small victories. They remind us why we continue to search, negotiate, adapt, try again, and press forward.

“We do not always know what tomorrow will bring. But we know we will keep searching for opportunities. We will stand firm, adapt, and bring our initiatives to life.”

Behind every headline and photo you see are dedicated individuals—their time, energy, emotional investment, dozens of conversations, and an immense amount of work that often goes unnoticed. There are moments of doubt and exhaustion, waiting and searching, alongside the genuine joy of seeing another initiative succeed.

This is where real impact is born.

Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for your trust. Thank you for walking alongside "Magic Wings."

Behind the scenes, we simply continue doing our work.
